Humboldt County native Christina Souza is a founding member and  producer of the Six Rivers Choral Artists.  Christina is no stranger to music in Humboldt County having performed locally as a lead in many Humboldt Light Opera Company productions as well as performing as a featured artist at the Fortuna Concert Series.
 
She completed her undergraduate education at Humboldt State University receiving a B.A in Psychology with a minor in music.  In Christina’s tenure at HSU she was a member of the University Singers, Mad River Transit Singers and Madrigal Singers.  In addition to her ensemble studies she also appeared in several Opera Workshop productions.  Christina studied voice privately with Ms. Carol Ryder.
 
Upon graduating from Humboldt State University Christina moved to the Bay Area and worked as a counselor for adolescents and adults with chronic mental health issues.  In addition, Christina was a member of the nationally acclaim chamber choir the San Jose State University Choraliers under the direction of Dr. Charlene Archibeque.  As a member she toured Hawaii, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy.
